About Us

Whorl Ltd. are the company behind JShop Professional and DoublePadlock. Started in 1997, Whorl Ltd. have always concentrated on e-commerce solutions and shortly after starting-up released the very first version of JShop Professional. Before that they had freely distributed a set of scripts under the name of JShop on the Internet.

In addition to providing off-the-shelf applications to produce and maintain e-commerce stores, Whorl Ltd. also engage in bespoke e-commerce solutions for larger corporations. Working with databases and including advanced features, Whorl Ltd. has been responsible for creating and maintaining some of the largest e-commerce sites in the United Kingdom. We are always happy to discuss any advanced needs that our customers may have and can always find solutions to even the most complex of e-commerce problems.

Over the years Whorl Ltd. has gained a vast amount of experience and knowledge on e-commerce and it is all used in our products whether it be in our off-the-shelf solutions or our bespoke solutions. We've been around a long time in Internet years (we were one of the first companies in the United Kingdom to produce an off-the-shelf e-commerce package) and plan to stay at the forefront for many more years to come.

Plans for the future include bolstering our range of off-the-shelf e-commerce solutions and continuing to develop the JShop Professional and DoublePadlock products.
